Will I Be Finding My Style with 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target?

Will I be finding my style with 3.1  Phillip Lim for Target?  I have to say that I like some of what I’ve seen in the glossy photos that are surfacing.

According to Refinery29.com’s Senior Global Editor, Connie Wang, the collection is:

Full of work-appropriate tanks, trousers, dresses, and sweaters, it’s a professional woman’s dream collection (don’t worry, there are some sparkling, sophisticated party frocks for after-hours events as well. And, oh yeah. Awesome pajamas).

The bags deserve a shout out all on their own. Spanning satchels, work totes, duffles, and more, this is an entirely utilitarian collection of well-constructed, easy-to-carry bags that don’t give off that “Look at me, I’m almost carrying an It bag” vibe that many diffusion lines tend to project.

While I like much of the collection, not all of it is appropriate for finding myself at 50 style-wise.  However, there are individual pieces that I am seriously considering, such as this Tuxedo jacket and the matching trousers:

This cute LBD

and these bags and the yellow one above.

The collection will be available for purchase in selected stores and online on September 15th.  Will you be shopping the collection?  Have you shopped the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target collection in the past?  What did you think?  My inquiring mind wants to know.  Do comment below!

  1. I haven’t shopped the 3.1 Phillip Lim collection before but after seeing the collection of bags I think I might head on over. Thank you for the heads up.

  2. Not sure about some of the clothes, but I definitely want that yellow bag. And the blue one. And the brown one. And the gray one, too.

    1. Hi Robin, I agree the price is high for Target, but for me, a) if the quality is there and b) if it looks good on me, I’d seriously consider the LBD. The bags are a standout. Hope they are in person, too! Just checked out your blog and I like it! 🙂
