Polka-dot pants, a sparkly statement necklace and shiny ballet flats were the basis of the outfit I wore to the fantastic femworking blogging and small business conference that I attended in October. I had a blast networking, talking about my goals for findingmyselfat50.com, telling the women about the women’s business networking group, of which I am a Group Leader, my ecommerce site, TheNarrowShoe.com, my first foray into e-commerce and what I thought was blogging at the time, and a labor of love, and the my leap into a new entrepreneurial venture as a Stylist for Stella & Dot. Suddenly, I’m a very, very busy woman!
Once I pressed send after I registered and paid for my admission to the conference, my immediate thought went to what I would wear, since the opportunity to sit for a headshot photo was included in the price, which I was very excited about. Off to the mall I went. First I found the Capri pants and they became the jumping off point for the rest of the outfit. I loved the little polka-dots print on them. The top is similar blouse I bought a while back (though mine didn’t have a bow in the back) and the bow belt is similar to one I found at Nordstrom in the Spring. I love the silver shoes that I added to the set. In person I decided to wear an older pair of Lavender by Vera Wang flats that I found on sale at a great price several years back. I accessorized with a chunky statement necklace and a pair of gold earrings.
I was very pleased with the way the outfit turned out and it worked out well for the photo, as well. Have you had a professional photo taken, recently? What did you decide to wear?
